Our engineering office provides high level engineering support services to our clients and other divisions.

Our engineering office is often the first point of contact for tender and enquiries. We have high-speed internet connections that allows direct links to other engineering and design offices to send and receive electronic drawings and documents worldwide.

We have gained valuable experience, over a long period of time, in many areas of the construction industry that has allowed us to develop a capable engineering design group. This group is supported by a number of key alliances with other engineering groups that add depth, flexibility and additional support.

We have modern computer design programs for design work and detailing shop drawings.

The engineering office is the centre for quality assurance, project costing, job estimating, workshop detailing, and specific engineering design work.

Over the years we have implemented a number of in-house computer systems using the Microsoft Office suite to assist in processing these activities. Our engineering office provides the following services to clients in the building, construction, mining, resources, and marine industries.

1. Consultancy Service: For specialized site projects in mechanical and steelwork construction.

2. Detailed Drafting: Detailed drawings developed from engineers or architectural drawings in AutoCAD.

3. Specification: Developed for existing or project work in compliance with Australian standards and international standards.

Our engineering office works with Australian standards and international standards as required by the client for specific projects.

• Visit sites to obtain and verify site dimensions and liase with clients and engineers
• Preparation of material takeoffs both for estimating and procurement of material

The office has the ability to employ other engineering and design offices throughout Australia and overseas as required.

Due to the nature of detailed drafting work we maintain a number of close alliances to support us with workshop drawings. Large detail drawing projects have been outsourced to a number of Australian based drawing offices and to offshore drawing offices.

Engineering design work is often sub-let to a design consultant. This enables us to utilize some of the major recognised consultancies and local engineering groups and their specialised expertise.

Quality Assurance

Our engineering office maintains a quality assurance management system consistent with AS/NZS/ISO 9001/9002. For large projects that involve site installation and require specific standards, we prepare a specific Project Quality Plan and appoint a Quality Assurance Manager for the project. For in-house fabrication and mechanical work our quality assurance system is maintained.
